Musical icon Larry Tamblyn has died aged 82.
He found fame with the 1960's band The Standells.
Larry's family was made up of Hollywood actors, with his brother Russ Tamblyn having starred in Django Unchained and Drive.
Paying tribute to his uncle on Facebook, his nephew Dennis Tamblyn wrote on Facebook: "My uncle Larry Tamblyn passed away today. I have very fond memories of him and his family over the years.
"A few years ago, The Standells played at Hotel Congress here in Tucson and Larry stayed with me.
"It was so great to hang out with him and catch up. He was still making music well into his later years. You will be missed, Uncle Larry," he added.
The Standells are an American garage rock band from Los Angeles whose biggest hit came in 1966 with Dirty Water.
Referred to as a 'punk band of the 1960s', they are said to have inspired groups such as the Sex Pistols and Ramones.
Larry had previously been a solo performer and even recorded 45 singles in the late 1950s and early 1960s including Dearest, Patty Ann, and My Bride To Be.
