MrBeast has spoken out after his regular YouTube co-host Ava Kris Tyson announced she would be quitting the channel after grooming allegations.
Tyson regularly appeared on MrBeast's YouTube channel, which is the biggest channel on the platform with 306 million subscribers.
The 28-year-old has become an internet star herself thanks to her appearances in his videos, and has more than 22,000 subscribers on her own YouTube channel.
But last month, allegations surfaced against Tyson accusing her of sending inappropriate messages to a minor, reportedly then 13, when she was 20, the BBC reports.
She denies the allegations, but announced on Tuesday (July 23) that she would "permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health," saying that it was a mutual decision.
In a statement on X, Tyson said she had "never groomed anyone" but apologised for her "past behaviour" in a statement.
Now, MrBeast - real name Jimmy Donaldson - has spoken out about the allegations.
He said he is aware of the allegations against his former co-host, and has hired third party investigators to look into the matter while deciding to cut ties with Tyson.
Donaldson wrote on X: "Over the last few days, I’ve become aware of the serious allegations of Ava Tyson's behavior online and I am disgusted and opposed to such unacceptable acts.
"During that time, I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts.
"That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions.
"I will allow the independent investigators the necessary time to conduct a comprehensive investigation and will take any further actions based on their findings."
Tyson revealed last year that she was transgender and was undergoing gender-affirming therapy while changing her pronouns to she/her.
