Parts of the UK have been told to prepare for "hazardous conditions", with warnings set to last until Thursday morning.
Drivers have been warned to take some extra precautions in the mornings this week as frost and fog are set to bed in over the next few days.
On Monday, November 27, the Met Office said that frost and icy conditions are set to be widespread for the week ahead, as temperatures are set to plunge throughout the week.
The forecaster predicted that wintry showers are coming our way, with some parts of the country experiencing temps of -3C.
They said: "Wintry showers will lead to ice forming on untreated surfaces during Tuesday evening and overnight into Wednesday morning.
"Snow will begin to accumulate, especially away from windward coasts, with 1-3cm possible. Higher routes of north-east Scotland may see up to 5cm of snow accumulate."
Yorkshire and the Humber are also set to be affected by the wintry conditions.
On Friday, December 1, meteorological winter is set to begin, with the widespread freezing conditions a reminder to everyone.
Ahead of the frosty week coming our way, weather expert Alan O'Reilly (Carlow Weather on X) advised motorists to take precautions before they hit the road this week.
O'Reilly said on Tuesday morning: "Jack Frost has made his first visit of this cold spell. Down to -2.1c at my station with a good few spots below 0c this morning. Don’t hit that snooze button, you’ll need to defrost the windows."
