Meghan Markle cancels podcast episode after King Charles’ ‘olive branch’ in first speech

She's also cancelled a huge TV appearance

Meghan Markle has cancelled multiple plans, including the release of her next podcast episode, in preparation for the Queen's funeral. The Duchess of Sussex was due to star on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on September 20, and had a visit to the UN General Assembly scheduled with Prince Harry on the same day. But the Suits actor has put plans on hold, including her popular Spotify podcast Archetypes, following the Queen's death on Thursday, and to allow space for the funeral on September 19. The King said he wished to "express his love for Harry and Meghan as they continue to build their lives overseas". It was only weeks ago that Markle gave an interview with The Cut, in which she claimed the Royal Family's social media control meant images of her kids went to the press before she was allowed to post them herself. She also claimed the British media called her child "the N-word". Speaking to The Cut, 41-year-old Markle said the Royals allowed her to join Harry, Kate and Will on a pre-existing Instagram account @KensingtonRoyal, though she did not have any control.
