Marbella nightclub shooting: Five Injured as gunman opens fire at Opium Beach Club

A gunman opened fire at a Marbella nightclub early Monday, leaving four people injured. The incident took place at Opium Beach Club at around 1.10am. The gunman was stabbed in the head and the torso before being taken to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition. Police confirmed four people suffered gunshot wounds, two of whom are in a serious condition in the intensive care unit of a Costa del Sol hospital, Surinenglish reports. Reports initially suggested a woman had died from her injuries, though officers have said they are not aware of any deaths. The gunman is a Dutch national, according to police sources, while and one of the shooting victims is believed to be an Irish man. In a video that she posted on her social media while walking home from Opium, she said: "I'm not joking, I was at the club Opium in Marbella and someone just got shot, a girl at a table next to us just got shot.

"This is like the craziest thing that's ever happened, what the f***.

"She got shot in the butt, they got into an argument and she got shot in the butt. How does this happen?"
