Manchester United have named their asking price for Mason Greenwood and fans can't believe their eyes.
Greenwood was put on loan to Getafe over summer after it was deemed he could not continue his career at United and now it's believed another La Liga club are interested in signing the 22-year-old.
The player remains contracted to United until summer 2025 and the new report has detailed the costs United are enduring as part of Greenwood's on loan spell with Getafe.
Due to his success at Getafe, it's believed Greenwood has attracted the attention of Sevilla too.
With both Getafe and Sevilla eager to sign Greenwood full time, it's being reported that United are looking to let Greenwood go.
And the price they're asking for is reported to be around £20 million for the striker according to Team Talk.
Speaking at a fans’ forum last week, United’s chief executive Richard Arnold said of the £75,000 a week forward: “With Mason, as I am sure you can appreciate, this was an extremely difficult and complex situation.
“We conducted a detailed investigation over several months, considering all the evidence available.
“The evidence presented to us contained important facts that were not in the public domain. I made the ultimate decision as CEO that Mason’s career should continue elsewhere.
“It is true that my decision evolved over time, but I believe we came to the right conclusion for all parties. However, I can assure you that we have listened to the feedback and criticism and there are learnings that we can take forward.”
Now, however, it appears that Greenwood's time at Man Utd is well and truly over.
