A man in France had an unusual complaint over the weekend when he went to the hospital.
A 24-year-old from Toulouse in the south of France, complained that he was in pain but gave no further details to the doctors.
It was only after surgery that the source of his pain was revealed: a bomb from the First World War in a very unlikely spot - his anus.
How the historic artefact ended up being shoved up there isn’t yet clear.
Doctors found the 16x4cm bomb from World War I, dating back to 1918, inside his rectum.
The hospital even called the bomb squad, and its corridors were soon flooded with firefighters and law enforcement.
Firefighters defused the bomb shell and there was no further risk of danger, as they confirmed to Le Parisien.
But the man’s troubles don’t seem to end there, even if he’s surely going to feel way less uncomfortable.
It has been revealed that he could soon face charges for violating the weapons legislation in France.
