Major websites worldwide including Gov.uk and Amazon down due to ‘wider internet outage’

The internet is down for some of the biggest names on the net as the government, Guardian, Amazon and Reddit websites are all not functioning . It's the last one we're most concerned about - where will go for our memes!? The extent of the damage is unknown as we keeping finding more and more sites that simply aren't working, here is a list of just some of the casualties:
