One lucky lottery winner has overtaken pop superstar Taylor Swift's wealth, just days after she was officially declared a billionaire.
The Oregon Lottery's jackpot has recently been claimed, meaning the lucky winner is now a billionaire after nabbing the $1.3billion jackpot (£1.049 billion).
Forbes declared the 'Anti-Hero' singer to be a billionaire last week after her blockbuster year, which saw her earnings increase thanks to the Eras Tour and music sales.
With her wealth valued at $1.1 billion, the star is thought to be the first person to make their fortune entirely from music products.
Despite it having taken years of hard work to build this up, her billionaire status has already been overtaken by one lucky lottery winner.
Mike Wells, director of the Oregon Lottery, said: "This is an unprecedented jackpot win for Oregon Lottery.
"We’re taking every precaution to verify the winner before awarding the prize money."
The identity of the winner is yet to be revealed, but we do know that the winning ticket was purchased at a Plaid Pantry convenience store in the north-east of the state. They won the jackpot after matching all six Powerball numbers on Saturday's
Although Oregon Lottery's huge jackpot only has a cash value of $621million (£490 million), if the winner opts to take annuity paid over 30 years, then they will be in for the billions. They will have to pay both federal and state taxes on the sum, per Metro.
It's not the first time a Powerball jackpot has topped $1 billion, with the Oregon Lottery only being the fourth biggest in US history. The largest win was in California for $2.04billion (£1.61billion) back in 2022.
