Lord Mandelson has been arrested.
The Met Police have confirmed that Peter Mandelson has been arrested.
In a statement they wrote: "Officers have arrested a 72-year-old man on suspicion of misconduct in public office.
"He was arrested at an address in Camden on Monday, 23 February and has been taken to a London police station for interview.
"This follows search warrants at two addresses in the Wiltshire and Camden areas.”
According to the BBC, Mandelson was led away from his home in Camden, north London, by police.
Earlier this month, the Metropolitan Police announced that they had launched an investigation over allegations in public office.
The news comes just days after Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formally Prince Andrew, was arrested on suspicion of the same offence.
