London Heathrow has made a major rule change that will affect over 80 million passengers travelling from the airport each year.
Gone are the days of scavenging for shrunken containers to take liquids such as shampoo and shower gel on holiday with you as the 100ml limit on liquids in cabin bags has been scrapped at Britain's busiest airport.
We all know the pain of having to fill that translucent sandwich bag full of mini toiletries or having to empty your affairs at security because you placed it at the bottom of your bag.
From yesterday, passengers can stroll through security stress-free with up to two litres of liquids in cabin bags.
This comes following a £1bn upgrade to airport tech which saw CT scanners installed at the airport, allowing for a 3D image of the contents of a passenger's bag.
Heathrow follows other UK airports which have completed the rollout of the new scanners such as Birmingham, Bristol, Gatwick and Edinburgh.
The airport said it is the largest in the world to provide this service to all passengers.
Restrictions were first introduced in 2006 following a foiled transatlantic bomb plot, which led to the 100ml liquid limit.
The measures were initially meant to be temporary, but stuck about.
Chief executive Thomas Woldbye said: “Every Heathrow passenger can now leave their liquids and laptops in their bags at security as we become the largest airport in the world to roll out the latest security scanning technology.
“That means less time preparing for security and more time enjoying their journey – and millions fewer single-use plastic bags.
“This billion pound investment means our customers can be confident they will continue to have a great experience at Heathrow.”
