Actor Kiefer Sutherland has been arrested, Los Angeles Police Department says.
The Designated Survivor actor allegedly assaulted and threatened a ride-share passenger in Hollywood in an incident that occurred at 00:15 PST (08:15 GMT) on Monday.
LAPD said he "entered a ride-share vehicle, physically assaulted the driver (the victim), and made criminal threats".
The passenger was not injured in the incident, police said.
Sutherland was released on a $50,000 (£37,000) bail, and is due to appear in court on February 2.
The 59-year-old is best known for his roles in shows such as Designated Survivor, 24 and movies such as Phone Booth and Mirrors.
He is the son of late actor Donald Sutherland, and has been arrested multiple times in the past.
