Jenas had been working for the broadcaster as a pundit and presenter for Match of the Day, as well as hosting The One Show.
A BBC spokesperson confirmed the news saying: “We can confirm that he is no longer part of our presenting line up.”
News of his sacking broke whilst he was live on air with talkSport presenting a one-off show.
He immediately defended himself by saying there are ‘two sides to every story’ but that he’d step back as he’d let his ‘lawyers deal with it’.
When asked about the claims on air he responded saying he ‘can’t really talk about it’.
He added: “I, as you can probably see, I am not happy about it.”
He was once again asked if he was surprised by the nature of the complaints, and he repeated: “I can’t really talk right now.
“I've just got to leave this to a team of lawyers at the minute who are, yeah, I suppose just managing the situation.
“This is... Yeah, it's tough, you know. But I've got to listen to my lawyers.”
Previously Jenas fronted the MOTDx show aimed at younger audiences which was scrapped last season.
The former England international, who enjoyed spells with Tottenham and Newcastle, moved into punditry in 2016 after he retired due to injury.
Jenas last presented The One Show alongside Alex Jones on 22 July and appeared on the MOTD panel on 4 May.
He worked for the BBC throughout the Euros, acting as co-commentator for Spain’s semi-final victory over France.
TalkSport confirmed in a statement that they were made aware of the allegations prior to the show commencing but that they decided with Jermaine that he should continue to present.
They added: “Given the array of serious allegations being reported as the story continues to evolve, it's for Jermaine as a private individual to address them in the way he chooses.
“There are no plans for Jermaine to broadcast as a presenter on talkSport in the immediate future.”
