People have too much time on their hands
A Japanese man has reportedly spent around two million yen - or £12,480 - to transform himself into a hyper realistic dog - and the weirdest part of this story? It kind of works.
The Youtuber, known only as Toko, posted a few pictures of himself on to Twitter in early April that show him transformed into border collie - chosen because that was his favourite breed of dog.
The snaps were accompanied by a video that appears to show the man sitting on the floor in full dog regalia before performing some simple pooch tricks - including laying down and pawing at the camera.

The Independent - the man hired Zeppet, a company that specialises in creating incredibly detailed costumes, sculptures and models, to make his dog dream a reality.
Typically known for their work on movie productions and commercials, Zeppet accepting the man's unorthodox request and created something that is eerily and uncannily close to the real thing.

“I made it a collie because it looks real when I put it on,” Toko explained to
Mynavi, revealing that the costume took around 40 days to create and multiple revisions to get just right.
“My favourite is quadrupedal animals, especially cute ones. Among them, I thought that a big animal close to me would be good, considering that it would be a realistic model, so I decided to make it a dog.
“I met such a condition and made collie, my favorite breed of dog.”
Clearly proud of their work, Zeppet shared pictures of their prized pooch costume on their own Twitter feeds, before shedding some light on the creation of this highly detailed bit of dog clobber.
“The point is that the skeleton of a dog can be reproduced on the skeleton of a human. Since the structure of the skeleton is very different, we spent a lot of time studying how to make it look like a dog,” revealed a Zeppet employee.
“In addition, we collect photographs taken from various angles so that the beautiful coat of the collie can be reproduced and devised so that the coat will flow naturally.”
Since the news of Toko's dog costume has broke, he's clearly received a lot of attention from media outlets eager to know more about this unusual piece of clothing
