Jamal Edwards’ mum Brenda confirms media mogul died from heart attack after drug taking

She warned others about the dangers of drugs

Jamal Edwards' mum has confirmed that her son died due to taking recreational drugs. The 31-year-old entrepreneur died in February this year from what was described at the time as a "sudden illness." But after an inquest into his death on Tuesday, it has now been confirmed that he died due to recreational drugs. In a statement on social media, his mother Brenda Edwards warned others about the dangers of recreational drugs. The Loose Women star wrote: "I have sadly learned that the cause of Jamal's devastating passing was due to cardiac arrhythmia caused by having taken recreational drugs and I wanted to address this to everyone who loved, admired, and respected my son." https://twitter.com/brenda_edwards/status/1534084004693131264 She went on to say "it takes just one bad reaction to destroy lives" and that it is "important we help drive more conversation about the unpredictability of recreational drugs." Following Jamal's tragic death, the Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust was set up in his honour to "help those in need, placing a special emphasis on the mental wellbeing of its service users."
