Gianluigi Donnarumma and his partner Alessia Elefante were attacked and robbed at their home in Paris, according to reports in the French capital.
The Paris Saint-Germain and Italy goalkeeper and his partner were reportedly 'tied-up' by the burglars, who broke into the home in the early hours of the night.
Donnarumma and Elefante were then taken to the hospital. The goalkeeper was 'lightly injured', according to the BBC, and his partner was not injured.
Paris police have opened an investigation into the robbery. According to unconfirmed reports in France, the burglars escaped with jewellery, watches and luxury items worth roughly €500,000.
Donnarumma will still be part of PSG's pre-season trip to Japan. He has yet to publicly comment on the incident.
