A furious note was left on a front door warning trick or treaters not to bother knocking on.
The note which was spotted in Australia sparked a debate over whether Australians should celebrate Halloween or not.
The note reads: “This is Australia not America.
“F*** off with your Halloween s*** you little c***s.”
A picture of the note went viral online and people flocked to the comments to give their opinion on the fiery message.
One person commented: “Sounds more like Aussies are miserable and don't like kids. Either way, thank God I don't live there.”
Another said: “All the tricks and no treats down under.”
A third commented: “Time to send eggs and toilet paper to Australia from America with love.”
However, some Australians were quick to defend their country and distance themselves from the Aussie who had penned the note.
One said: “Aussie here and I love Halloween. It's getting more popular but some people just live in delulu land.”
Another said: “Australians don't hate Halloween. It's just that it's been Americanised throughout the years on our televisions, not as an Irish or English or pagan thing.
“And like anything Americanised in Australia it's been so prevalent it feels like it's been shoved down our throats, hence this reaction. It's not an Australian tradition nor was it part of Australian culture.”
One Brit quipped that with the size of the creepy crawlies in Australia, it must feel like Halloween all year round.
He said: “Halloween is 24/7 for the Aussies, with all of the spiders crawling around there.”
Meanwhile, some Australians were getting creative with their Halloween decorations.
Some were inspired by Aussie breakdancer Raygun who went viral over summer following her performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
