Just over two months after becoming the first person ever to reach a net worth of more than $500bn, Elon Musk is now worth $100 billion more.
Thanks to the soaring valuation of his aerospace company SpaceX, the richest person in the world is worth nothing less than $600 billion now, Forbes reports.
The fortune of the world’s richest man has been boosted further as earlier this month, his space transportation company launched a tender offer valuing the firm at $800 billion.
And this is up from $400 billion in August, according to the company’s investors.
A tender offer is a public proposal by a company or third party to buy a large amount of a company's shares from existing shareholders.
The offer comes as SpaceX is targeting an IPO in 2026. Investors confirmed to Forbes that this could value the company at around $1.5 trillion.
Musk, 54, owns an estimated 42% of Space X, by $168 billion to an estimated $677 billion.
According to these estimates, Musk’s $336 billion stake in SpaceX is now his most valuable asset.
On the other hand, he has a 12% stake in Tesla which is worth no less than a whopping $197 billion.
Last month, shareholders at Tesla even approved a record-breaking pay package that could give Musk up to $1 trillion in additional stock if Tesla achieves “Mars shot” performance milestones like growing its market cap more than eightfold over the next ten years.
Add to these billions Musk’s xAI Holdings, which is reportedly in talks to raise new funding at a $230 billion valuation.
That would be more than double the $113 billion valuation Musk claimed when he formed the company in March by merging his artificial intelligence startup xAI with his social media company X (formerly Twitter).
According to Forbes estimates, the entrepreneur owns a 53% stake in xAI Holdings worth $60 billion.
Musk has achieved a series of milestones over the past five years and reaching the $600 billion net worth mark is just the latest one.

Why Google wants to release 32,000,000 infected mosquitoes into the wild
It’s not quite as crazy as it sounds Google wants to release 32,000,000 disease-infected mosquitoes into the wild. Yes, you heard that right, and while this may sound like the evil masterplan of a crazed villain, the project is actually one of goodwill for the betterment of humanity.
