Dave Grohl takes train to Glastonbury Festival

It was before a not-so-secret set on the Pyramid Stage

The Foo Fighters frontman caught the 11:00 Great Western Railway service from London to Bath Spa on Friday morning, along with 40 others.

They then caught minibuses to the festival site, where the American rock band were playing on the Pyramid Stage under the disguise name, The Churnups.

In a tweet, the rail operator wrote: "Even rock royalty knows that there is no better way to travel to Glastonbury than by train!

"You never know who is going to churn up on board our trains!"

Grohl met staff member Brendan Cooper on the train.

Grohl and his entourage had exclusive use of Paddington's First Class lounge all morning, with the first group arriving at 10:20.

The 54-year-old had apparently made sure he was one of the last to turn up at the station, as part of his efforts to keep the Friday set as secret as possible.

But it wasn't long before word got out, and by the time they took to the stage, almost everyone knew what was coming, and a huge crowd had gathered.
