PlayStation Plus users are set for a treat as it looks likely that a classic PS1 game is going to land on the service.
A recent leak claimed that MediEvil is going to become available for Plus Premium users.
The classic hack and slash video game was first released back in 1998, but it seems we might be about to be able to relive our childhoods if it comes to Plus.
True Trophies realised that the game's whole trophy list leaked online, and that it was identical to the list from the PS4 remake of MediEvil from 2019.
MediEvil: Resurrection is already available for PlayStation Plus users, but presuming the leak is correct, it won't be long til we get to play the original again.
It comes after Sony announced that there are two extra free games for Plus users this month.
The company has confirmed that Dave the Diver and Tales of Kenzera: Zau are both arriving on PlayStation Plus for Extra and Premium tier users.
Although April’s full lineup for these tiers is not set to be announced until April 10, a new post on the PlayStation blog has confirmed these two games as being available to nab.
Dave the Diver is a “unique hybrid ocean adventure that combines ocean exploration with sushi restaurant management.”
It allows gamers to play as the titular character, looking through the sea by day to bring back goodies for the sushi restaurant which keeps him occupied at night.
Combining core gameplay loop, narrative, characters, and captivating mini-games, it was originally released on PC, but is set to be available on PS4 and PS5 come Tuesday, April 16.
Tales of Kenzera: Zau is the other extra free game, which is set to launch on Tuesday, April 23.
The game follows a young shaman who attempts to bring his father back to life by making offerings to the god of death.
Tales of Kenzera: Zau’s director Abubakar Salim, who is known for his work in Assassin’s Creed Origins, explained that the game is based on his own experiences of losing his dad.
“You take a character, you throw them into a world they have no idea about… and they have to, somehow, make sense of it,” he told GamesRadar.
