British acting legend P.H. Moriarty has died at the age of 86.
The Deptford-born actor was perhaps best known to younger audiences for his role as Hatchet Harry Lonsdale in Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.
However it was his role as Razors in the 1980 gangster film, The Long Good Friday, that truly cemented his name on the silver screen.
Moriarty also famously played Jack Tate in Jaws 3D and had roles in Quadrophenia, Scum, The Bill, Judge John Deed, Doctors, and Frank Herbert's Dune.
Moriarty was a former boxer who was working as a docker on the Surrey Docks when he was noticed by a film crew, thus sparking his long acting career.
