Roy Larner, 47, was one of the heroic members of the public who did so. Larner made the headlines for shouting "Fuck you, I'm Millwall" as he fought off the attackers, sustaining multiple knife wounds as he did so.
In honour of Larner's heroics, a Swedish brewery has named a beer in tribute, simply called "F**k you, I'm Millwall".
"We were humbled and impressed to read about Millwall supporter Roy Larner," Frequency Beer Works said on their website, "who single-handedly stepped in against the terrorists in London, shouting 'F**k you, I’m Millwall!', saving countless lives by drawing the attention of the attackers, giving others the possibility to run to safety.
"We salute him, and have made a special edition of our bitter available in his honour. A portion of the proceedings will be donated to the fund started in his name."
Frequency Beer Works have said that they are working on a UK release of the beer, keg only at this stage, a 5% English bitter.
David Mortimer, co-founder of Frequency Beer Works, told the Southwark News: “A friend of mine who is a Millwall fan in London sent me a link to an article about Roy and I thought it was an amazing story of his bravery.
"When I read it I thought ‘that’s amazing, that really is something special’ so I spoke to the other guys at the brewery and we thought we could stick some money into the Just Giving campaign but that it would be more fun to tell the world about it. "It just feels like it’s one of those stories you want to tell people about because it’s amazing – and it’s also a great name for a beer."We can't wait to try it and raise a glass in Roy's honour.
