Birmingham airport evacuated and all flights grounded amid police incident

The alarm was sounded at 13:34 BST this afternoon with the airport announcing it was suspending all operations as buildings were evacuated.

In a statement, West Midlands Police said the airport was being evacuated after a report of a suspicious vehicle.
