Australian presenters completely fail to identify new Prime Minister Liz Truss during Queen’s funeral

The presenters thought Truss and her husband were 'maybe minor royals'

Two Australian presenters were completely oblivious to who Liz Truss was as she rocked up to the Queen's funeral, in footage that has left people "screaming" on social media. The UK's newly appointed PM and her accountant husband Hugh O'Leary arrived together at the entrance of Westminster Abbey on Monday morning. But the pair suffered an awkward ordeal on air when Truss turned up. "The Aussies saying Liz Truss looks local," one Brit wrote, "I am SCREAMING". Some described it as an "awkward moment". Meanwhile, others thought it was simply "incredible". It comes after footage also showed world leaders from across the globe rocking up to the funeral in school-trip style coaches. Meanwhile, Truss arrived in a convoy, and US President Joe Biden travelled separately in famous presidential car 'The Beast.
