An American woman has claimed that she is British missing child Madeleine McCann.
Eugenea Collins, 22, has told the MailOnline that she is Madeleine and she has a DNA test to confirm her claim.
The results of said test show she has largely British and Northwestern European heritage however, this does not link her to the McCann family.
Collins first had her suspicions when she had issues trying to obtain an ID.
She told MailOnline: "I am unable to get any kind of identification. I couldn’t even get any help from the people at the red cross when my house was burned because I have no identification.
"I have never seen an original birth certificate neither. The only thing I saw had someone else’s name wrote on it and they marked that out and wrote mine above it."
She is not the only person as of late to claim to be the missing child, as Polish woman Julia Wandelt was recently arrested for stalking the McCanns in the UK.
Collins said that after seeing Wandelt on the American TV show Dr Phil, she believed that she herself was McCann.
She said: "If it wasn't for me seeing her on the Dr. Phil show I would've never known. In a way her stupidity actually helped me find my family."
Collins became suspicious after not being able to locate her original birth certificate.
However, many people online have said that they don't believe her claim, with one person pointing out: "Not to be rude here, but your eye doesn't have that defect in it like she does."
