For approximately $38,000 (approximately £26,000) for a one-way ticket, passengers can avail of The Residence by Etihad Airways, where, it claims, a truly unique and bespoke experience is delivered with complete discretion and limitless hospitality. Containing a living room, separate bedroom and en-suite bathroom, The Residence is the only three-room private cabin in the sky and has been “created by leading interior designers and hospitality experts who understand the discernment and sophistication expected by the private traveller”. With all that, it may come as a surprise to learn that The Residence is designed for a maximum of two guests, whose needs will be catered to by a butler at their service and who will be treated to breakfast in bed, signature cognac service and premium in-flight entertainment.
