In the study, more than sixty participants were shown pictures of both bald and non-bald men and asked them to rate the men in the pictures based on perceived power, influence, and authority.
Unsurprisingly, the men with shaved heads routinely ended up at the top of the list. The masculinity that comes with balding isn't free however.
According to the same study, an increased perception of masculinity comes with "diminished attractiveness" if you don't have the confidence to pull it off.
