OnlyFans model taking naked shots in a cave rescued by RNLI after tide came in

'I was looking at the sea getting closer, thinking oh that’s pretty and sparkly'

Michaela Ogilvie was watching the sea “sparkle”, while taking nudes for social media, before noticing the tide had come in and she was encircled by waves.

Lifeguard crews were there within half an hour of her distress call to save her from the cave, finding her at Dumpton Gap, Ramsgate, Kent, in 27 minutes.

Recounting getting stuck in the cave, Michaela said: "When I saw the tide coming in I thought 'how could I be so stupid?'

"I couldn't get out of the cove either way - the sea had come completely in.

"I looked at the cliffs, wondering if I could climb up.

"Then I looked back in the cave thinking 'if I stay in there it will fill up with water and I might drown.’"

She added: "I thought it would be really cool to strip off in the cave. It took me a while to get undressed.

"I looked out at the sea and everything was so peaceful. I only managed four photos.

"There was no one around but I realised it's because nobody could get there.

“It was crazy but I tend to live completely in the moment. I saw the tide sign, but I just didn’t register what it said.

“I remember looking at the time and it said ‘low’ ‘high’, but didn’t look properly. I don’t know whether it was me being thick or blonde.

“I don’t know, I didn’t connect it. I just got into the moment, I was looking at the sea getting closer, thinking oh that’s pretty and sparkly.

“Then it came closer and I just thought 's**t'. The waves were crashing, I’m a really good swimmer but I would have got chewed up.

“I’m massively into mindfulness, I think I got lost in the moment.

“If I didn’t know to ring 999 I wouldn’t be alive, because it took 27 minutes for the rescue team to get there.

“Luckily I had the brains to use Snapchat because I didn't have signal there so I couldn't show my location. I was on Snapchat maps and zooming in and they found me.

“I’m so grateful to be alive, it’s crazy. I was once in a serious car crash and I lost consciousness, I felt I cheated death there. That made me really grateful for life.

“In the cave I realised, whatever happened, when it came down to it, I wanted to be alive."

Ms Ogilvie suspects the rescue team recognised her from her social media presence.

She said: “I don’t want to get anyone in trouble, but I think the rescue team recognised me from social media, because when I first got into the boat they forgot to put the life jacket on me.

“The driver moved around and said 'I’m surprised you're not taking selfies yet' - I said 'that’s because I’m about to shit myself'.

"The crew were amazing and so friendly. I have huge respect for them and I hope people can learn from my mistake."

The Ramsgate RNLI confirmed it was called to a person cut off by the tide inside one of the caves shortly before 2pm on Tuesday.

A spokesperson added: "Our inshore lifeboat managed to get close enough to get the casualty onboard and brought her back to the lifeboat station.

"We advise people to check our Facebook page to see the tide times before going out onto the beach."

Michaela has returned to her regular life engaging with nearly 31,000 Instagram followers on her account @kayla_evelynx.

She had 20,000 TikTok followers on @Jokerthanetlass, but the platform restricted her account for nudity.

Her social media presence is funded by her OnlyFans @secret_layers, with 137 paying subscribers, where she is in the top two percent of creators based on earnings and engagement over the past month.
