Watch how to stop a blood-sucking tick from burrowing into your leg

There's some weird trends on the internet these days, but none are quite as strange as the morbid obsession there appears to be with watching videos of people bursting particularly unpleasant spots.

Let's be clear, we're *not* about to start jumping on this stomach-churning bandwagon, although the video below comes from a YouTube page that appears to specialise in such content. In this video, 'Dr Guru' demonstrates how to remove a tick (a drowsy one at that) from your thigh. Again, it's not for the squeamish, but it could be something which actually helps you - should you find one of these little b*stards burrowing into your leg in the months ahead. The blood-sucking insects are known to carry a number of infections, and guidelines from the NHS recommend you remove them as soon as possible but also in the correct manner.
