The PlayStation 4 era looks like it's officially over after Sony appears to have published its final game for the console.
Of course, some may argue that the PS4 generation really came to an end with the launch of the PlayStation 5, and there's no denying that this was the beginning of the end.
Naturally, Sony has put money and resources into its latest console, gradually phasing out games and content for the PS4.
For example, Sony's latest major game Marvel's Spider-Man 2 has only been released on the PS5.
And there was also the recent cancellation of a PS4 release for Lost Soul Aside, a decision taken so that the developer could focus on the PS5 version.
In fact, Sony Interactive Entertainment hasn't published a PS4 game since MLB The Show 2023 in March this year.
So, it seems like, as the post below says, the generation of PS4 games is "well and truly over."
But what a ride it's been. Just take a look at some of the games we were treated to - The Last Of Us II, Ghost Of Tsushima, Marvel's Spider-man, God of War, Uncharted 4.
Anyway, the end of one era means the start of another. There's plenty to look forward to in the years ahead with the PS5, and the world of possibilities that have been opened with the console.
So long to the PS4 generation then - you won't be forgotten.
