The Nintendo Direct event is taking place this week (2 April) with more details about the Switch 2 being revealed.
The gaming brand is set to announce the official release date of the console, as well as pre-order details.
It’s the most anticipated gaming release of the year and will be in high demand when it’s finally confirmed.

Nintendo confirmed details of the Switch 2 in January, with a teaser trailer showing off a sleek new design including black controllers with splashes of colour.
The tech brand is officially announcing details of the console release during Nintendo Direct on 2 April.
Nintendo will then hold in-person events in cities around the world in the weeks after launch. The London date will be 11-13 April and will allow gamers to get their hands on the console and test it out.
Leaked information about the new Switch hints at a console with a larger screen and more processing power in order to play modern games. Fans will also be able to play original Switch games on the console after Nintendo confirmed backward capacity.
