Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II trailer drops – it’s looking like the best CoD in years

We've got our first look at gameplay and it's looking like vintage CoD

The first full Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II trailer featuring gameplay has officially dropped and while you think you'd get bored of looking at spraying bullets, explosions and the next lot of maps, you never really do. Following a number of teases by Activision Blizzard and this year's developers Infinity Ward throughout the day, the CoD: MWII gameplay trailer was finally revealed on Wednesday, June 8 and the series looks to be back to its best. [caption id="attachment_340859" align="alignnone" width="1200"] Credit: Activision Blizzard/Infinity Ward[/caption] While Warzone has continued to boast an absolutely massive player base - and it getting a highly anticipated follow-up to accompany this latest iteration - it's fair to say Vanguard didn't enjoy quite as warm a reception. Nevertheless, the team behind this year's entry say this game is going to be "the most advanced experience in franchise history", with new technical advances graphics, lighting, sound and AI; a new leaked mode called 'DMZ' which looks to feature extraction type gameplay, and well as a strong narrative campaign that looks to with some of the series best stories. Perhaps the best part of all, fans will be over the moon to hear the game will feature some of the series' favourite characters from down the years, including Simon ‘Ghost’ Riley, Sergeant ‘Soap’ MacTavish and Captain Price. "Bravo Six, Going Dark". It feels like the good old days when all you could think about was coming from school/work to play CoD until 4am with your mates. Get booking that week off, folks.
