Heinz UK have announced the launch of Monster Munch Mayo, a limited-edition sauce which will be available tomorrow, September 20.
Heinz has teamed up with crisp giant Walkers to release the Halloween-themed sauce that blends the iconic Pickled Onion flavour of Monster Munch with the creamy, rich texture of Heinz Mayo.
A limited run of just 1,000 bottles will be available exclusively from the Heinz to home website, before hitting retailers in the UK throughout September and October.
The first high-street shop to welcome the sauce to its shelves will be Iceland where customers can buy the sauce starting from September 24.
Supermarket Aldi has announced it will stock the limited-edition Heinz Monster Munch Mayonnaise (£1.99, 400ml) in stores from 29th September.
According to a recent survey conducted by Talker, Halloween parties are continuing to grow in popularity among Gen Z, with 42 per cent reportedly taking their gatherings seriously from the clothes they wear to the snacks they provide.
Close to 61 per cent consider food to be in the top three essentials for their haunted Halloween parties.
Thiago Rapp, Director of Taste Elevation at Kraft Heinz said: “We're thrilled to be partnering with Walkers to bring Heinz [Scarily] Good Monster Munch Mayo to life.
“With Halloween just around the corner, we wanted to create something truly special.
“Following on from the success of Heinz Black Garlic Mayo last Halloween, we were blown away by the excitement people felt around these limited-edition products for spooky season.
“Monster Munch, with the iconic claw, was the perfect partner for mayo this Halloween, providing a scarily good twist on the classic.”
Fans have already expressed their excitement about the new sauce, with one saying: “I bet this is banging on a ham and cheese sandwich.”
Another said: “I have GOT to try this!!”
It is the latest collaboration between the two brands who earlier this year teamed up to release a series of Heinz sauce inspired flavours of crisps.
Derived from typically British sandwich fillings, the new flavours were a big hit among fans.
The Sausage Sarnie flavoured snack combined with Heinz Tomato Ketchup while the Cheese Toastie snack, combined with a classic Heinz Beanz flavour.
Brits are putting mint sauce on their fry ups, curries and even on ice cream
