Much of the time people can misconstrue things in their heads, whether its lyrics to a song, famous sayings or the shape of a very well known Haribo sweet.
This appears to very much be the case for one of the UK's favourite bag of sweets which has left people divided over what they believe the shape one of the sweet's represent.
As all good things do, the discussion began on Reddit, where a man explained that he had been arguing with his wife of five years over the shape and name of one of the sweets a bag of Tangfastics.
He said: "After five years of marriage, we've just discovered that my wife and I refer to this particular Haribo sweet as something different to each other. What do you call this Haribo?"
Responses in the comments were polarised with many suggesting the shape is a key, while others insisting it is a dummy.
Meanwhile the most rogue suggestion came from someone who claimed that it is in fact a looking glass - that person might need a real one.
One commenter answered: "I used to call them keys before I found out they were dummies."
While another chimed in: "I always thought they were meant to be a fizzy version of the 'ring' Haribos but dummy makes sense now that I take another look at it. Never liked Tangfastics though."
Meanwhile someone else admitted their denial of the dummy shape: "It was a key to me but I know they're apparently dummies. But they're clearly not dummies."
Another person said: "It's a dummy but I call it the key."
One person brought the rational to the debate and said: "Dummies, it says so on their packaging..."
And, for anyone who was still in doubt over the matter, Haribo themselves have confirmed that the sweet does indeed mimic a dummy.
Well, now that's resolved we can all get back to living our lives peacefully, in full security of our newly-found, gelatinous-based sweet knowledge.
