Iconic American fast food chain looking to open host of stores across the UK

Another US chain could soon be arriving on British shores

The Texas-based company is famous for its grey mouse mascot Chuck and being the go-to place for kids birthday parties, with Chuck E Cheese restaurants featuring arcade games, live shows and trampolines.

Now, the chain has identified Britain as a "key target market" as part of expansion plans.

Chuck E Cheese already has more than 550 locations worldwide, but has now identified six locations in the UK where it hopes to open branches.

These locations are Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, Milton Keynes and Bristol.

According to Completely Retail, the operator is planning on opening restaurants in high footfall locations with a strong family demographic, with a catchment of over 25,000 under 12-year-olds within a 20-minute drive time.

The company is targeting shopping centres, retail parks and leisure parks with car park frontage for the first restaurants.

Meanwhile, Dave's Hot Chicken has also opened its first UK store, with Brits now able to try the chain's infamous Reaper spice.
