Everyone likes their brews their own unique way. From varying strengths, sweetnesses, and milkiness, there is plenty of room for variation to find your perfect cuppa.
But there are rules. Systems in place that stop wanton nihilistic behaviour from running rampant and ruining tea breaks up and down the nation.
Boil kettle, teabag, steep, add milk, add sugar. These steps are inviolable in the creation of a good cup of tea.
But one man has shared his unholy caffeinated creation, and practically the whole of the UK should be offended.
If you think adding milk first to your brew is bad enough, wait til you get a load of this guy, who has filmed himself adding custard to his mug. Yes, custard.
He captioned the TikTok: "Custard in a cuppa trust me, don't knock it till you try it."
Unsurprisingly, people are knocking it, and they most certainly don't want to try it.
One user said: "This is an actual sin, curdled egg tea isn't the one."
Another said: "As a Yorkshire man this is an outrage! You're a wrong-un! Your initiative has lead you down the path of stupidity."
One thing's for sure, this tea hack is seriously dividing Bits up and down the nation.
