Ok, we're pretty certain that being a front for a criminal empire that manufactures high-end narcotics is a good enough reason for a restaurant to be closed, but when it comes to Breaking Bad, we're fully fledged supporters of Los Pollos Hermanos. After all, what's not to love about a wholesome, locally-owned business that's a shining example of the American dream. All this without mentioning its owner, Gus Fring. It's not uncommon to see Gus waiting on tables, smiling with customers or offering some friendly advice to his employees. See, he's a great boss. You know, just ignore the fact that he'd slice your throat in an instant with a box cutter. A few months ago, the actor who plays Walter White's biggest nemesis (Giancarlo Esposito) actually visited the pop-up version of Los Pollos Hermanos during the SxSW Festival. As you may know, the actual location that's used in Breaking Bad still exists in south Albuquerque. At the moment, a New Mexico burrito chain called Twisters is based there and to celebrate the series turning ten on January 20, that OG Los Pollos Hermanos is reopening.

According to KRQE, the renovations are being paid for by two local fans that live in the area - Edward Candelaria and Marq Smith.

There's no need to be cynical because every last detail including the sign, the yellow uniforms, the aprons, and hats will be included.
