Top Gun 2 would be “fun”, says Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise has dropped the latest hint about a Top Gun sequel.

The 53-year-old has admitted it would be "fun" to play US Navy pilot Maverick again after almost 30 years and we are finding it hard to disagree. There have been rumours about a possible sequel to the 1986 classic since it first hit cinemas, but things seem to be really hotting up of late with reports that a script is in the works. Despite his age, Cruise says "I don't want any CGI jets. I want to shoot it like how we shot the first one... I would like to get back into those jets." Cruise was speaking at the at the London premiere of his latest movie, Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, in which he performs a series of elaborate and highly dangerous stunts.
