Steve Irwin’s teenage son follows in dad’s footsteps and feeds Australia Zoo’s most terrifying crocodile

Steve Irwin's children, Bindi, 20, and Robert, 14, will be launched into the spotlight as they take on their own crocodile challenges as part of a new TV show. The family of the late conservationist and wildlife broadcaster, Steve Irwin, will take centre stage in an upcoming series for Animal Planet. Centred around Australia Zoo in Queensland, Crikey! It's The Irwins begins Sunday, October 28 at 8pm, on Sky channel 162. On the show, Robert is seen taking on Australia Zoo’s oldest, toughest and most notorious Crocodile, Graham. Watch him here: More than 1,200 animals live in the park, which is owned by the Irwin family and was the basis for the original Crocodile Hunter series. Terri Irwin often appeared alongside husband Steve in his shows and the American naturalist will take viewers behind the scenes of Australia Zoo to display her continuing conservation efforts. Daughter Bindi is set to work out of the zoo’s animal hospital, Australia’s best-equipped wildlife treatment facility, while Robert allows his infectious curiosity bring him closer to the animals. The teenager features in the opening episode alongside the park's oldest, toughest and most notorious Crocodile, Graham, which Robert will feed in front of visitors at Australia Zoo's 5000-seater Crocoseum auditorium. Steve Irwin first appeared on our screens in the 1996 debut of Crocodile Hunter and the Aussie zookeeper became an international icon for his efforts to bring people closer to animals and ensure a positive future for all wildlife for generations to come. He died in September 2006 at the age of 44 following a sudden attack by a stingray, while filming in a coral reef off the coast of Queensland.
