Sir Elton John spoke of his friendship with Eminem during his appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday night. Pink, a fellow guest on the show, had been discussing how the opportunity for her to work with Eminem came about when Stephen Fry - also making an appearance - asked Sir Elton about the influence he had on the rapper. “He was accused of being homophobic by so many people because of his lyrics, which I thought was nonsense," he explained. “I came out and supported the fact that he isn’t [homophobic] and I appeared on the Grammys with him, doing ‘Stan’, instead of Dido.
