Cynthia Weil, the songwriter behind 'You've Lost The Lovin' Feeling', has died aged 82.
The Grammy Award winner's daughter, Doctor Jenn Mann, said her mother passed away on Thursday evening.
In a statement announcing Cynthia's death on Friday, Mann described her late mum as her "best friend" and "partner in crime".
She told TMZ: "My mother, Cynthia Weil, was the greatest mother, grandmother and wife our family could ever ask for.
"She was my best friend, confidant, and my partner in crime and an idol and trailblazer for women in music."
The family added that Cynthia's Grammy award winning lyrics "touched the hearts and souls of hundreds of millions of people around the world" and added that she was one of the "most iconic songwriters of the 20th Century".
Her husband, Barry Mann, said he was a "lucky man" and got "two for one" with Cynthia being his wife and "one of the greatest songwriters in the world."
Cynthia was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1987, alongside her husband, whom she penned many songs.
The couple wrote The Drifters', 'Saturday Night at The Movies', Lionel Richie's, 'Running With The Night', and Dolly Parton's, 'Here You Come Again'.
