Ricky Gervais finally says what we’re all thinking about the Johnny Depp Amber Heard case

He went on to add: "I don't think either of them are going to come out of it as a win because all of your private stuff... I don't know, I hate having to go through it and it's even weirder that they televise a court case [something those in the UK aren't accustomed to] So I don't really do that stuff." With that in mind, the interviewer might have been hoping to get more of a decisive reaction from Gervais but as many of his fans pointed out on social media, he did well not to get drawn into the gossip and headline-hunting over what is a very serious case involving spousal abuse. The trial has now entered what is scheduled to be its final week, though it has already been delayed once due to the pace with which each party's legal counsel were progressing. That being said, a verdict is expected to be announced on May 27.
