Piers Morgan slams Madonna’s ‘cringe’ VMAs dominatrix outfit

Madonna turned up to the VMAs on Sunday in full leather get-up

Piers Morgan has labelled Madonna's VMAs outfit as 'cringe.' The legendary singer, who is now 63, appeared on stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in a leather dominatrix-style outfit that certainly caught the attention of many, including Morgan. At the awards ceremony, which this year marked the 40th anniversary of MTV, Madonna turned up in a yellow taxi and stepped in front of her fans to her 1990 hit Vogue. She then opened the show, saying: "And they said we wouldn’t last. But we’re still here, motherf***ers. Happy 40th, MTV! Welcome to the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards." But whilst many were amazed at her look, Piers clearly wasn't one of them. Along with two photos of Madonna from the night, he simply tweeted: "Cringe." https://twitter.com/piersmorgan/status/1437316398162788353 And just like Madonna's look, this caused some conversation and debate. One person replied: 'She’s a performer. Fans expect to see her do what she is famous for. She’s older now yes but she’s adored and loved for her body of work. 'She’s giving fans what they want. She’s a performer. This is the act she is famous for. Should all artistic expression be young + tasteful?' Another said: 'Mick Jagger is still rocking on stage at 78, so Madonna still flaunting it at 63 is no real biggie.'

A third added: 'MORE women that Piers has decided to target …..I’m sensing a pattern.'
