Noel Gallagher on Brexit: People should just ‘f**king get over’ it

A few weeks ago, Liam Gallagher offered one of the more interesting and insightful opinions regarding Brexit. In an interview with NME, the Wall of Glass singer said:  “No thoughts on it, man. I love Europe. I guess the borders have got to be tightened but all that stuff about going ‘this is my country’, I don’t get that. We all live under one sky. I certainly don’t sit there and go ‘this is my f***in’ England, stay out’, but I think we should definitely keep an eye on who’s coming in and out of the country”. Well, much like everything between the Gallagher brothers, Noel has a slightly different view and it appears that the leader of the High Flying Birds wants people to move on. In a recent interview with Noisey, Noel stated that he didn't vote during the referendum and believes that people need to accept the result. “In England, the Brexit thing, it’s like, I can’t believe there’s so much noise about it - you know what I mean? It was put to the people as a vote, the people voted. That’s democracy. Fucking get over it," he said. Noel added: “I didn’t vote because I didn’t think we should have been given the vote in the first place because as ordinary members of the public how are you qualified to talk about the break-up of the oldest continent in the fucking world? Then the people trying to get the vote overturned, they used to call that fascism. But they don’t call it fascism any more because they’re fucking ‘right on’. Personally, I don’t think we should have left the Union because I feel right at the time of it happening, we turned our back on the French, who were going through some dark terror shit. But it’s happened now. It was a legal vote. Fucking get it done and let’s move on.”
