Netflix is making The Gray Man 2 with Ryan Gosling and a spin-off is also in motion

Expect to see more of Ryan Gosling's new spy thriller The Gray Man - following its debut on Friday July 22, Netflix has not only revealed plans for a sequel but also a spin-off adventure. So far, the espionage actioner - which sees Gosling play a mysterious CIA agent known only as Sierra Six who's forced to take down a corrupted colleague Lloyd Hansen, played by a deranged Chris Evans - has received mixed reviews, with viewers either loving it or hating it. Critically, the film has only wracked up a paltry 48 per cent on movie review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes against a much better audience score of 91 per cent. Still, this mixed bag reaction hasn't stopped streaming giant Netflix from ordering more undercover adventures from Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo - with a new movie and a separate spin-off reportedly in the works, each based on author Mark Greaney's popular spy novel series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BmllggGO4pM "The audience reaction to The Gray Man has been nothing short of phenomenal. While ETA's for both The Gray Man's sequel and its spin-off still a ways away, us viewers are currently in the dark about when we can expect to meet Gosling's quip-a-minute super agent again. We're also unclear as to what foe he'll go up against, any other story details related to his next mission or even what character the Russo's series spin-off will focus on. However what we do know is that part one writer Stephen McFeely will be back on script duty, with Deadpool and Zombieland scribes Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick writing The Gray Man's off-shoot project. Does this mean we should expect a little more humour and perhaps a little fourth-wall breaking à la Ryan Reynolds' Mr Pool? Only time will tell.
