Netflix have the next Stephen King adaptation and it’s ‘horrifying, hypnotic and terrific’

With IT, Mr Mercedes, The Mist (TV show) and The Dark Tower being released this summer - along with rumours that Pet Sematary is being rebooted - it's clear that audiences can't get enough of Stephen King's work. The horrific creations from King's mind have also proven to be very popular with Hollywood executives as features like The Mist, 1408, Secret Window, Thinner, Cujo, Christine and Needful Things have all been adapted into feature length films. King has rightfully earned his reputation as a master of horror, but he's also very talented when writing more character driven dramas like Misery, The Green Mile, The Shawshank Redemption and Dolores Claiborne. Granted there's a level of horror in all of those titles, but they're more focused on the darkness that exists within the soul. The trailer for Netflix's adaptation of King's 1992 novel, Gerald's Game, has just been released and it looks like fifty shades gone wrong. As time passes and she realises that a rescue seems impossible, she begins to slip into insanity as the voices in her head manifest themselves into visions.
