One of Netflix's most highly anticipated films of the year has finally arrived on the streaming service.
Scoop, which tells the story behind Prince Andrew's infamous BBC interview with Emily Maitlis, drops today (April 5).
Back in 2019, the 64-year-old sat down with Newsnight to address his relationship with Epstein, who died in New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center a few months prior to the interview.
The interview received a lot of attention, but was met with negative reactions from both the public and the media. Although the original interview is no longer available to watch on BBC iPlayer, it is available on BBC News' YouTube channel.
Netflix's adaptation of the story surrounding the interview has been one of the service's most anticipated movies of the year, and now it is finally here.
"Inspired by real events, this fictional dramatisation gives an insider account of how the women of Newsnight secured Prince Andrew's infamous interview," the official synopsis reads.
Starring Rufus Sewell as Andrew and Gillian Anderson as Maitlis, the trailer for the film dropped last month and immediately made a splash.
"Will be watching this from a Pizza Express in Woking, a moment I will always remember," one person joked in the clip's comments section.
A second put: "
This looks very good. I'll watch anything with Gillian and what a transformation from Rufus Sewell."
"Whoever chose this cast deserves a BAFTA themselves. Inspired," another commented.
The rest of the cast includes Billie Piper, Keeley Hawes and Richard Goulding.
