Neil Young has pulled out of Glastonbury 2025 claiming the event to be a "corporate turn-off".
The legendary artist and his live band, The Chrome Hearts, were reported to be headlining the famous festival in Somerset, but has since rejected any such claims.
Young last played Glastonbury in 2009, but as explained his reasoning not to return to the stage in his 'Neil Young Archives'.
On the website he wrote: "We were told the BBC was now a partner in Glastonbury and wanted us to do a lot for things we were not interested in. It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being. We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off, and not for me like it used to be.
"Hope to see you at one of the other venues on the tour.”
The musician finished by signing off with his name adding, "Be well".
It is unsure what the BBC wanted Neil and his group to do, however his band had been "firming up plans" for European tour dates including Glastonbury Festival.
Fans had noticed that his website had been updated to show a picture of a 2009 Glastonbury ticket when Neil last played the event, leading many to believe an appearance could be on the cards.
However, of course this theory has now been quashed.
Young is looking at moving much of his European tour to outdoor venues for "safety reasons".
