Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger tease their co-produced show ‘Vinyl’

Spending an evening in a room listening to Mick Jagger and Martin Scorsese sharing toe-curling tales aided by the finest whisky is stuff of dreams.

It seems their new show might be the closest we get to doing so. The Rolling Stones frontman and film directing mogul are about to release their co-produced HBO drama 'Vinyl'. It tells the story of Richie Finestra, played by Bobby Cannavale, a music executive trying to resurrect his record label. It stinks of Scorsese, while you can also feel the influence of writers Terence Winter (Boardwalk Empire, The Sopranos) and George Mastras (Breaking Bad). And while it's not obviously biographical, Jagger would have thrown gold at the project.
