Ed Sheeran set to return to acting in new film by Trainspotting director

Truth be told, Season 7 of Game of Thrones was magnificent but as we've said before, it's not without its faults. The issues with the apparent 'time-warping' and 'characters teleporting' has been well documented and the whole Arya-Sansa- Littelfinger murder plot felt really underdeveloped and rushed. This being said, one cameo seemed to really irk Game of Thrones fans and that belonged to a certain ginger singer. Granted, we've no issue with cameos in the beloved show but Sheeran's felt so jarring and noticeable. It was like, for that particular scene, you were no longer watching Game of Thrones but Ed Sheeran's Instagram feed after he managed to sneak past security and get onto the set of his favourite show. His delivery of the line "it's a new one" is enough to send most GOT fans into a bloodlust rage that not even The Hound can match. Anywho, rather than be perturbed by those very mixed reviews, Sheeran looks set to step in front of the cameras once again. As reported previously, Sheeran will make a small cameo in Danny Boyle's new untitled musical comedy. Before he starts filming James Bond 25, the director of Trainspotting and A Life Less Ordinary will be adapting Richard Curtis' script. The plot revolves around a man who wakes up one day to discover that he’s the only person who can actually remember the songs of The Beatles. Lily James and Himesh Patel will also star and Sheeran looks set to cameo too. In a previous interview with MTV, Sheeran was asked about the prospect of making another cameo in Season 8 of Game of Thrones and he pretty much said that there was no chance of that happening. "We were all quite young, those soldiers. I doubt I'm going to survive for that long, to be honest, when there are dragons in the world," he said. Regarding a return to the show, Sheeran ruled it out by saying: "No one wants to see me come back. I wanted to be a cameo in it, and I've done the cameo. I'm cool with it, though.
